If you read my article, and my other responses to Bill Nye, you will see that I already responded to a lot of the claims that you raise.
I've noticed that nearly every response to my article tries to split hairs on semantics. They want to argue that anyone can be a scientist.
But it's plainly obvious that a third grader with a chemistry set is not on the same level as someone with a PhD in Chemistry from Harvard with 40 years of publications.
If those who object to my article refuse to acknowledge the difference, then that is on them.
In generations past one could be considered a "doctor" without ever going to college.
As I acknowledge in the article, Bill Nye is a smart guy, clearly. He has a 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
But Bill Nye also makes major errors that betray a lack of a basic understanding of science.
In his Netflix show, he uses rising water levels in Venice as evidence for Global Warming. But as anyone with any knowledge of Venice knows, Venice is sinking - in other words, Venice is not a fixed point.
He makes numerous other errors as well, and I've talked about these in my videos and articles responding to his show.
As I said in my article, Bill Nye should not be going on CNN to sit across from an actual atmospheric physicist, and dismissing the testimony from an actual scientist.
Bill Nye is entitled to say whatever he wants to say, but he is not qualified to give an expert opinion in this way, because he is not a professional expert in these areas.
